The shipyard was founded by the blacksmith Oskar Myklebust in 1915 and had various owners throughout its history. Between 2001 and 2018, Myklebust Verft was part of the Kleven Group. Since then, we have evolved as an independent and standalone shipyard. Our focus on sustainability, craftsmanship, and skilled professionals is the key to Myklebust’s success. We have approximately 150 permanent employees, are certified according to the ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, and actively align our strategy with the UN’s sustainability goals. We offer docking facilities for vessels up to 15,000 tons and can have up to 800 personnel working on 3-6 projects simultaneously.
